Remade in 1969 as Some Will, Some Won't, Laughter in Paradise is an amiable little post-war comedy with a very familiar sounding plot. A notorious practical joker dies and leaves a considerable sum of money to his expectant relatives. His last will and testament contains only one awkward clause: his devilish instructions must be carried out to the letter. This involves an exercise in embarassment and humilation as the deceased prankster pushes to the very limits each beneficiary's desire for the inheritance.
The cast contains a few very familiar names: Alastair Sim, Joyce Grenfell, John Laurie, and even Audrey Hepburn makes a fleeting appearance as a cigarette girl.
