How do I become a member?

It's easy!

Just come along to any of our screenings!

All EUSA students are technically members of the film society and can pay £2.50 to watch a film. However, the real benefits come from buying a season membership card...

So what does a season ticket cost?

This year, we're continuing our "split price" scheme. You can join for just one term, or for two terms (at a substantial discount).

You can pay by cheque (with guarantee card, made payable to "EUFS") or hard cash. Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit, debit or other plastic cards. Foreign currency may be accepted at the Treasurer's discretion but please be aware that our exchange rates are ludicrously weighted in our favour.

What do I get?

With your season membership card, you also get...

• Free entry to any, or all, of over 60 films.
• Our wonderful magazine full of reviews, and a rather fetching poster.
• Reduced ticket prices for our special events and social occasions.
• The right to help choose next term's programme of films as part of our programming meetings.
• Free preview screenings of forthcoming films (watch for details!) as well as other bonus films
• Entry (for a small fee) to the BFFS viewing sessions.
• Monthly cheap (two for the price of one) screenings of new films at the Cameo.

I want to do more than just watch films!

As a member you can simply choose to only watch films. But as a member you also get (for free!) the right to take part in the active running and organisation of one of the largest societies in Edinburgh.

Help to choose the films we play next term. Become a sound and lighting tech wizard. Design an eye-catching publicity campaign. Join in our splendid social events. With everything from being President to projecting films to be done, there are plenty of opportunities!

But above all, you get to choose and watch the films you want to see, and meet people who want to do exactly the same (though your tastes in film may differ!). That's what a film society is all about.
